HOW ZENTRACE WORKS

From device reading to map marker.

A simple five-step flow built around the connected device, ZSYNC and phone GPS.

  1. Measure the Target

    Use the connected device laser rangefinder to take a distance reading on your target.

  2. Connect the Device

    Pair the optic with your phone in ZSYNC over Wi-Fi, then enable Bluetooth and ZenTrace mode.

  3. Sync to Phone

    Distance and device azimuth transfer into the app together with the phone GPS position.

  4. Calculate Coordinates

    ZenTrace combines the data to calculate the target coordinate and place a marker.

  5. Navigate to the Marker

    Select the saved marker and use in-app guidance to return toward the recorded point.

PREREQUISITES

Before using ZenTrace in the field.

  • Connect the device to the phone in ZSYNC over Wi-Fi first.
  • Enable Bluetooth and switch the device to ZenTrace mode.
  • Allow location, Bluetooth and relevant app permissions on the phone.
  • Confirm both phone and device have enough battery for field use.
